Preview: DEFY Wrestling Presents Mad Kingdom (9/25/21)

DEFY Wrestling returns to Washington Hall on September 25th with a huge event entitled the Mad Kingdom. For what could a show be called the Mad Kingdom without the Mad King himself, Eddie Kingston! Kingston will be making his DEFY debut along with Jordan Oliver, Samir, and Sunil Singh. Christopher Daniels will also be making his return, his first appearance for DEFY since 2019.

Full Announced Card for Mad Kingdom:

  • Bollywood Boyz (Samir & Sunil Singh) vs. Wayne Chhun (Cody Chhun & Nick Wayne)
  • Christopher Daniels vs. Titus Alexander
  • Ethan HD vs. Jordan Oliver
  • SCHAFF vs. Eddie Kingston

The Bollywood Boyz (Samir & Sunil Singh) vs. Wayne Chhun (Cody Chhun & Nick Wayne)

Samir and Sunil Singh will be on hand for Mad Kingdom in their first appearance since their release from WWE earlier this year. They interviewed with Denise Salcido discussing their time in WWE and what to expect next. The biggest and most exciting revelation was that DEFY Wrestling will be their home base moving forward! “Classic” Cody Chhun and Nick Wayne, collectively known as Wayne Chhun will be their first challengers. Both Chhun and Wayne are on the smaller side and exhibit high-flying like that the Singh brothers were dancing with last on 205 Live, so this should be an exciting and can’t miss encounter.

Christopher Daniels vs. Titus Alexander

Also set for Mad Kingdom is the return of the Fallen Angel, Christopher Daniels. The DEFYance last saw him at the DEFY Super 8XGP Tournament in July 2019. He’s also been off of AEW television since May, so it will be refreshing to see the ring general come back to the battlefield to test himself against Titus Alexander. Alexander last appeared at DEFY’s return event Leviathan in a five-way scramble match that was won by Nick Wayne. The California native, known as the Future Franchise, has competed up and down the west coast for promotions like Without a Cause, West Coast Pro, Underground Wrestling Alliance, Gold Rush Pro, All Pro Wrestling and many more.

Ethan HD vs Jordan Oliver

At Mad Kingdom, the young and brash Jordan Oliver will make his DEFY debut. Ethan HD, the Washington native, veteran of over ten years will look to show the young upstart a proper welcome to DEFY and the Pacific Northwest. “The Clout Cutter” is no stranger to being physically outmatched by his opponents, but his heart and aerial abilities have carried him past people like Nick Wayne, Starboy Charlie, Davey Richards, Gringo Loco, JJ Garrett and many others. Ethan HD is coming off of a couple very tough losses to Calvin Tankman and Clark Connors and needs to turn his momentum around and quick. If he looks to move into the win column though, he can’t overlook this young potential usurper.

SCHAFF vs. Eddie Kingston

Eddie Kingston makes his DEFY debut at Mad Kingdom against the one and only, the “baddest motherf***er on the planet”, SCHAFF. SCHAFF feels slighted by the success that Eddie has made for himself in AEW. He feels Eddie could have called him out sooner to allow him to prove himself but didn’t. So now SCHAFF wants to kick down the “forbidden door” and take the Mad King down with it!

SCHAFF is coming off a 50/50 weekend from Leviathan, having gotten the win over Alexander Hammerstone and Calvin Tankman, but then falling to Kingston’s fellow AEW star, Lance Archer. Kingston who lost to Miro at AEW All Out, but is riding a bit of momentum after the fact, having picked up wins over Anthony Henry and Bear Bronson since then.

One thing is for certain, this is one event you do not want to miss!! If you do not already have tickets to DEFY’s Mad Kingdom, it will be available on demand later on from DEFY on Demand and Powerslam.TV. This event is 16 and over and there are COVID-19 protocols in place. If you are attending this event, please give it a look over so you don’t miss out!
