It was announced Wednesday morning on Good Morning America that former two-time WWE Champion, The Miz, will compete on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. This marks the 30th season of the show, making for an extra special year for The Miz to join the cast. He will be the third wrestler to take their talents to the dance floor for the show, following in the footsteps of former Divas Champion Nikki Bella and current AEW star Chris Jericho.

The Miz adds another unique accolade to his long resume in wrestling and outside of it. “The A-Lister” most recently turned on his tag team partner, John Morrison, a number of weeks ago on Raw before seemingly disappearing from the show. One would have to figure that The Miz’s addition to the cast of Dancing with the Stars has to do with that as they had been destined for a singles match which was scrapped. It has led to Morrison facing off with Omos and Karrion Kross in recent weeks, coming up on the short end in both efforts.
With Miz away for the next number of months, it will be interesting to see if they run back the feud when he does make his return down the line or if they completely scrap it. Either way, The Miz will look to represent WWE in a major way. For those wondering, Jericho made it to Week 6 of the show before being eliminated while Bella made it to Week 8. Time will tell as to whether or not Miz can best them.
