This is the final week of the black and gold NXT that so many fans worldwide have come to know and love. Next week, the complete reboot of the brand is implemented that WWE has been teasing for weeks now. It will be a different world for everyone in NXT and until it happens, no one knows for sure what to expect. But in the final week of what looks to be the black and gold-style brand, there will be some exciting matches for fans to dig into. Two singles matches between top talents in the women’s and men’s division are set to take place while both pairs of tag team titles will be on the line as well. This looks to be a show that fans will not want to miss. Here’s a look at the WWE NXT card for Tuesday night with previews for both title matches.
WWE NXT Card (9/7/21)
— The Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties for In-Dex
— Carmelo Hayes vs. Santos Escobar
— NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship: Io Shirai & Zoey Stark (c) vs. Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter
— Ember Moon vs. Kay Lee Ray
— NXT Tag Team Championship: MSK (c) vs. Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan
Io Shirai & Zoey Stark Defend Their Gold for the First Time
After weeks of attempting to get on the same page, Io Shirai and Zoey Stark will defend their NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship for the first time against the team of Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter. There has not been a single sign of Shirai warming up to Stark but that has yet to matter in their tag team action seeing that they are holding the gold. This will be a test, however, as Catanzaro and Carter get along more than almost anyone on the entire NXT roster. This will be the ultimate test to see if Shirai and Stark really are worthy of holding the tag team belts.
MSK Give Former Champs a Shot at Regaining Glory
MSK has been dominant since joining NXT with their only loss coming in a six-man tag team match. As a duo, they have been unstoppable and have gained all the confidence to welcome any challenge at any time. Come Tuesday night, they will continue to put their money with their mouth is as they will put the NXT Tag Team Championship on the line against former champions Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan. After all, it was MSK who would win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic to earn a shot at the titles that were vacated by Burch and Lorcan. These two teams should have a hard-hitting match that could legitimately go either way when it’s all said and done. Expect MSK to escape still champions but do not be shocked if the old champions become the new champions come Tuesday.
