NXT UK will kick off a massive week for the brand with its NXT UK Women’s Championship and Tag Team Championship on the line. The two huge championship contests will come just three days before Ilja Dragunov challenges WALTER for the United Kingdom Championship at NXT TakeOver 36.
NXT UK will air on the WWE Network and Peacock at 8 pm GMT/3 pm EST on August 19. Fans in the UK can also watch the show a day later on BT Sport.

Backstage Interactions Leads To Matches
Last week, two backstage interactions took place that has resulted in matches on this week’s NXT UK. Eddie Dennis was giving an interview with the rest of Symbiosis when Saxton Huxley stormed past screaming “better luck next time,” shouting this phrase directly in Dennis’s face. As a result, the two will meet in the ring. Will Huxley get a long-awaited win and better luck? Only one way to find out.
Dani Luna and Mark Andrews were commenting on Flash Morgan Webster’s loss to Wolfgang last week when Isla Dawn appeared and continuously stroked Luna. Luna wasn’t happy about it at the time and has sought out this match to put things right.

Satomura’s Title Reigns Enters Another Dimension
Meiko Satomura will defend her NXT UK Women’s Championship against the Fourth Dimensional (4D) superstar Stevie Turner. Turner has been pretty brash since arriving in NXT UK with her claims to be 4D. She claimed Satomura couldn’t teach the women on the NXT UK roster anything to get them to her level. The futuristic Turner went one further and said Satomura couldn’t even beat her.
Satomura showed little fear during this interaction in the Performance Center. Satomura’s title defenses have all shown her opponents in their best possible light. This will be a chance for Turner, who has had a pretty routine and dare I say two-dimensional victories since her debut, to show her full potential.

Can Moustache Mountain Finally Win Tag Gold
Believe it or not, but Moustache Mountain has never held the NXT UK Tag Team Championship. Tyler Bate and Trent Seven do, however, hold the shortest ever NXT Tag Team Championship reign. They won the titles from The Undisputed Era and technically lost them back to the team two days later. Although a delay in the episode airing means there were 22 days between the win and loss.
But despite Bate and Seven being two of the most recognizable faces of the brand, they’ve never held the tag titles. “The Founding Fathers” of NXT UK claim Pretty Deadly’s title reign means nothing until they tangle with them.
Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley believe after the match Moustache Mountain will no longer be the best tag team in NXT UK history, but simply the best team they have beaten. It’ll be an interesting match as it could make storyline sense for either team to go over.
