Tuesday night saw the final edition of NXT take place ahead of NXT TakeOver: 36. There was an overall feel while watching that change is coming to the NXT many have grown to know and love following this upcoming TakeOver event, making this be, perhaps, the last NXT of its kind. The rumors have continued to swirl regarding the future of the brand and by all accounts, change is indeed coming. That being said, it was still a big night for the black and gold brand Tuesday. With one of their headlining matches called off hours before the show, NXT managed to put together a first-ever matchup to kick off the show while also delivering the NXT Breakout Tournament semi-final and an NXT Tag Team Championship match as well. While none of the WWE NXT results are shocking, they are necessary for the future.
