Announced NXT UK Card (8/5/2021)

  • Heritage Cup No.1 Contender Tournament First Round match: Mark Andrews vs. Noam Dar
    Flash Morgan Webster vs. Wolfgang
  • Nina Samuels vs. Amale

The Slap Heard Around The BT Sports Studio

Some matches are the result of long, drawn out feuds often involving gripping storylines. Sometimes one person finds another backstage and slaps them as hard as they can for no apparent reason. That’s what Flash Morgan Webster did to Wolfgang last week and why the two will meet in the ring this week.

There’s an outside chance that Webster is trying to take out Wolfgang and steal his spot in the Heritage Cup No.1 Contender Tournament. But, that would possibly be reading too much into it.

Amale To Experience The Nina Samuels Show

This one has a bit more of a storyline than Webster vs. Wolfgang. It all started when Meiko Satomura was giving her first address as new NXT UK Women’s Champion. Nina Samuels interrupted her and offered to be her first defense.

Heritage Cup No.1 Contender Tournament Pits Dar vs. Andrews

A new eight-man tournament to decide the next challenger for Tyler Bate’s Heritage Cup Championship will kick off. Noam Dar will take on Mark Andrews in the inaugural contest in the Heritage Cup No.1 Contender Tournament. Pitting Dar and Andrews against each other makes sense as they are probably the two favorites to win the tournament.

The other first round matches will be: Oliver Carter vs. Kenny Williams, Wolfgang vs. Sam Gradwell and Nathan Frazer vs. Teoman

Kenny Williams could go far as he has been building momentum since winning his feud over former tag partner Amir Jordan. Keep an eye on Teoman vs. Nathan Frazer as I’d expect to see the winner of that match make the final.
