NXT UK will feature both the Heritage Cup and Women’s title on the line as well as a colossal head-to-head between WALTER and Ilja Dragunov.
NXT UK will air on the WWE Network and Peacock at 8 pm GMT/3 pm EST on July 15. Fans in the UK can also watch the show a day later on BT Sport.
Confirmed Card
- NXT UK Women’s Championship: Meiko Satomura vs. Amale
- Tag Team Match: Teoman & Rohan Raja vs. Oliver Carter & Ashton Smith
- Heritage Cup Championship: Tyler Bate vs. Mark Coffey
- Press Conference: WALTER and Ilja Dragunov
Heritage Cup Opportunity For Mark Coffey
Tyler Bate may be in the best form of his career. His upward trajectory which led to him winning the Heritage Cup Championship was more gradual than his earlier successes. The night he won the inaugural United Kingdom Championship may be more memorable but the last few months have been impressive.
This makes him a logical, albeit dangerous, person for Mark Coffey to challenge. Coffey took a pop at Bate and staked his claim for a shot at the Cup after “The Big Strong Boy” had defeated Jack Starz in his last Cup defense a few weeks ago. Coffey is currently playing a game of one-upmanship with his Gallus stablemate Wolfgang. If Coffey can defeat Bate for the Heritage Cup it is hard to see how Wolfgang can match him. It is more likely that Bate will win and then Wolfgang will get his chance at the Cup later.
Teoman And Raja Make Their Debut As A Team
Teoman has taken umbrage to Oliver Carter and Ashton Smith for a while now. The devoted family man dislikes their partnership and looks down on them for not being family. Teoman has defeated them both in singles action. “The Babo” has now taken Rohan Raja under his wing and will use this match as a test of his newfound loyalty.

Press Conference Ahead Of WALTER vs. Dragunov
WALTER will defend the United Kingdom Championship he has held for 830 days in one week against Ilja Dragunov. The last time they met, the battle was heralded as the greatest match of 2020 by many. Dragunov’s loss in that match set him on an inner battle with his temper and saw him involuntarily injure members of the NXT UK roster during his matches. Dragunov seems to have beat those demons. The two will trade words in a press conference this week. WALTER will boast about his unrivaled dominance. We should get a clear reflection of how confident Dragunov is and how far behind him his mental issues are.
Satomura Defends Women’s Title For First Time
Meiko Satomura will make her first defense of the NXT UK Women’s Championship that she won from Kay Lee Ray. Practically all of the NXT UK women’s roster has mentioned they would like a crack at Satomura at some point. Frustrated with waiting for an opportunity, Amale took it a few weeks ago. She brutally attacked Nina Samuels as she was making her claim for a match with Satomura and challenged “The Final Boss” herself.
Satomura was only too happy to accept “The French Hope’s” challenge.
There’s an interesting story that the writers haven’t bothered to tell between these two. Satomura only has the title because of Amale. Amale injured Xia Brookside in a bid to take her place in the number 1 contender’s gauntlet match in May. But Sid Scala and Johnny Saint refused to reward Amale and put her in the match. Instead, Satomura took Brookside’s place. She won the gauntlet to earn the title match against Kay Lee Ray and then won the Women’s Championship. Amale hasn’t mentioned this, which seems strange as it’s good context. Tune in to WWE NXT UK to catch the Heritage Cup and the NXT UK Women’s title on the line!
