AEW Rankings for July 14, 2021

AEW Rankings

The AEW Rankings for this week is now live. They’re an interesting set to look at this time around as the past few weeks of AEW television and YouTube shows have begun to shape the future as we paint a picture as to what All Out should look like. Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of it all is that both Darby Allin and Ethan Page are ranked ahead of their coffin match, which should shake up the rankings immensely when Fyter Fest night one concludes. Let’s take a look.

It was one week ago that Hangman Page finally acknowledged the AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, getting into his face and showing that it may finally be Page’s time to face off with “The Belt Collector.” Nothing has been made official on that side but it’s likely they go head-to-head soon enough with All Out being the clear destination.

Two of Omega’s successful defenses remain in the top five as well with both Orange Cassidy and Jungle Boy taking up the second and third spots. However, it’s the fourth and fifth that has the most intrigue. With Allin and the newly ranked Page set to put their rivalry to end once and for all, these rankings should have a dramatic makeover come next week.

The AEW women’s division and overall rankings remain stagnant. There has not been any change for weeks now with each competitor only adding wins to their total. If Britt Baker is able to get by Nyla Rose, Thunder Rosa or Kris Statlander seem to be the reasonable next contenders for the title with them having yet to receive a chance at the gold so far this year. Of course, a rematch with Hikaru Shida shouldn’t be out of the question either.

The Young Bucks managed to fix their wrong from this year last week when they defeated Eddie Kingston and Penta El Zero Miedo to successfully defend their championships. This has led to Kingston and Penta falling to third while the Varsity Blondes take back the top spot, The Acclaimed are back to second, and Private Party has once again jumped over FTR to be in fourth. It’s interesting looking at this list of teams as there is no clear next contender for The Young Bucks. Time should tell who takes that chance.
