AEW Dark: Elevation In-Depth Match Analysis

The Hybrid 2 (Angelico and Jack Evans) vs. Eddie Kingston and Penta El Zero Miedo

Finally, we have our main event of the evening – the technical-high-flying masterpiece of a tag team known as TH2 will take on AEW’s favorite New York-Mexico exchange – Eddie Kingston and Penta El Zero Miedo. The past few weeks have been interesting for TH2. Now working under The Hardy Family Office, Angelico and Evans have had recent run-ins with The Sydal Brothers that led to a series of matches. With Evans coming up short a couple of weeks ago on AEW Dark against Matt Sydal, how will he and his partner fair against the dominant tag team of Kingston and Penta? Let’s get into it.

The bell rings, and this match is underway. Kingston and Evans are starting this one off together. Evans does some sick flips that seem to upset Kingston, leading to Kingston doing some dance maneuvers of his own. That was really entertaining. Kingston is such a stellar storyteller in the ring, and it is on full display on this show.

Throughout this match, Evans and Angelico showcase their incredible high-flying ability. It’s halfway through the match that I notice the absence of Matt Hardy and the rest of The Hardy Family Office. This indicates the end result to me. Penta makes the hot tag and cleans house leading to the eventual finish. At the finish of the match, Penta drops Evans with the Fear Factor for the pinfall victory.

Overall this match was highly entertaining. I’m super excited to see where Kingston and Penta go in this potential feud with Matt and Nick Jackson for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. I’d have to give this match an easy 2.75 Stars (as it only suffered from a lack of time). This is the hottest crowd I’ve seen on AEW Dark: Elevation. Maybe it’s time for AEW to let Kingston shoot on the rival promotion every week.
