On Monday Night Raw, WWE held five qualifier matches that would be massive for both the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches. For the men’s there were three singles matches amongst the top competitors on the brand while the women’s division saw two tag team matches with the winners earning their spots in the match. Here are the seven who qualified for the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches:
Men’s Money in the Bank
— John Morrison
— Ricochet
— Riddle
Morrison managed to defeat former Money in the Bank winner Randy Orton to earn his opportunity. Ricochet pulled off the upset in the opening match on the night by defeating two-time WWE Champion AJ Styles. Riddle was able to roll up Drew McIntyre, continuing the woes of “The Scottish Warrior.”
Women’s Money in the Bank
— Alexa Bliss
— Asuka
— Naomi
— Nikki Cross
Asuka and Naomi teamed up to defeated Eva Marie and Doudrop (a.k.a. Piper Niven). They won the match when Doudrop refused to get back in the ring to help Marie, resulting in Marie getting rolled up to lose the match. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross won when Bliss began to hypnotize Reginald, allowing Cross to take out both Reginald and Nia Jax before getting Shayna Baszler on a stunning pin. Asuka and Bliss are two former Money in the Bank winners, with Asuka winning last year.
