On Thursday night, Tommy Dreamer informed Don Callis that he was fired from IMPACT Wrestling, effective immediately. The firing of Callis comes days after the now former IMPACT executive got the Young Bucks to aid Kenny Omega in his IMPACT World Championship defense against Moose. Callis also fired Sami Callihan, who was initially scheduled to face Omega at Slammiversary in July. Dreamer revealed that Callihan was reinstated to IMPACT and will be getting his world championship match.

Don Callis was an executive with IMPACT since 2017, where he and Scott D’Amore were both announced as executive vice presidents. This move was expected for months, as Callis was mostly being used as an on-screen character on IMPACT and AEW as Omega’s manager. It’s likely that Callis will be staying by Omega, who currently holds the AEW World Championship as well.
Following the firing of Callis, Sami Callihan made sure to remind him that while Callihan doesn’t plan to do anything to Callis, he was planning to “bash” Omega’s brains in, stating Omega was the one person Callis loved. The threat by Callihan left Callis speechless as IMPACT went off the air on Thursday.

There’s no definitive word as to whether this was the last appearance by Callis on IMPACT. With Omega still IMPACT World Champion, there’s a good chance this will not be the last of Callis on AXS TV or IMPACT as a whole. Time will tell, but this could be what jeopardizes the title reign of “The Belt Collector” moving forward.
