The Southwest Wrestling Entertainment Texas Title is now vacant. On SWE Fury, General Manager Teddy Long has announced a tournament to name a new champion. The tournament will begin on June 19 in Dallas, Texas. There will be more details as they become available.
SWE has also created a new title belt for the SWE Heavyweight Champion. The belt, which now reads “Real World Champion,” was presented to current SWE Heavyweight Champion Charlie Haas. The reigning champion then issued an open challenge to any wrestler in the world. Current Ring of Honor World Six-Man Tag Team Titleholder Kaun answered the challenge but was unsuccessful. Who will step up next to challenge the seemingly unbeatable SWE Heavyweight Champion?
Former Lucha Underground Trios Champion Ivelisse was the latest to challenge SWE Women’s Champion Christi Jaynes. Despite her experience, Ivelisse was not able to wrest the title from the champion. Will the creation of a Women’s Television Title thin out the pool of contenders for Jaynes, or will there be more challengers for the current SWE Women’s Champion?
Tag Team Champions The OMGs seem to have cleaned out the SWE tag team division. Former SWE Television Champion Niles Plonk is desperately in search of a partner who can help him to capture the tag titles. However, his latest attempt was unsuccessful as the champions retained once again. The champions are looking to move on from Plonk, but will Plonk find a new partner and face the champions again? Will another team emerge to face the champs?
These, and other questions, will be answered on the next episode of SWE Fury. Tune into the action online via YouTube and FITE TV every week.
