Only days away from Double or Nothing, AEW has no shortage of explosive matches to serve up to fans in preparation for the big event. “The Forbidden Door” is once again opening up en route to Dark: Elevation as New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) stars will be in action on this week’s program and it is only one aspect of the show you do not want to miss. In addition to that, we will be treated to four main events on this week’s show. A handful of grudge matches, as well as first-time meetings, will definitely spice up Elevation come Monday night. Brazilian Beatdown?
Everyone’s favorite Brazilian martial artist is once again in action. Tay Conti continues her ascent back to the top as she battles Queen Aminata who is making her Dark: Elevation debut this week. Conti has continued to set the wrestling world ablaze with immense wrestling prowess and her vast improvement in the squared circle. A veteran of only five short years, Conti has shown such brilliance, tenacity and, awareness inside the ring that most veterans could only dream of in a career. She is definitely on the right track to stardom and possibly a Women’s Championship reign in the near future.
Queen Aminata has shown flashes of brilliance much like Conti. Although she has a long way to go she is definitely one to keep an eye out for as time passes. Will Aminata pull off a major win or will Tay Conti continue to do what she does best and that’s racking up the W’s?
The Forbidden Door is opening for AEW Dark: Elevation
NJPW and indie veteran Rocky Romero will be making his AEW debut on this week’s Elevation against the “Blue Collar Badass” JD Drake. He won’t be alone in this excursion as a young lion and protege of Yuji Nagata will also be competing on AEW soil for the first time. Ren Narita will battle Elevation mainstay Royce Isaacs. This is very exciting for wrestling fans around the world as the blooming relationship between AEW and NJPW continues to grow as they exchange talent and further this partnership.
Romero is a decorated professional wrestler winning titles in CMLL, NWA, and, ROH to name a few. As well as being the leader and manager of one of NJPW’s bright young tag teams of Sho and Yoh also collectively known as Roppongi 3K. Narita on the other hand is one of the young lions of NJPW sent on an excursion to further ply his trade. He has been very impressive, to say the least in his short time in the professional wrestling industry. And there’s not a doubt in anyone’s mind that he will make massive amounts of waves soon enough. Saying these two contests will be exciting is an understatement. It’s AEW versus NJPW; who will come out on top? Be sure to set those alarms to find out Monday night on Dark: Elevation.
