The women’s division in AEW may be in for a rude awakening as independent wrestling veteran Natalia Markova is making her debut on AEW Dark Elevation against Leyla Hirsch. Markova debuted over a decade ago and has spent the past few years as a Shine Wrestling regular.

Markova debuted in the late 00s for Independent Wrestling Federation in Russia under the moniker Bonnie. She was a six-time IWF Women’s Champion during her time in the company. In the early 10s she had brief stints in Asia where she competed for Dramatic Dream Team Pro Wrestling, Gatoh Move, Dubai Wrestling Entertainment as well as a number of other promotions.
Since 2017 Markova has been based in the U.S. which has allowed her to compete regularly for Shine Wrestling, where she is the current Shine Nova Champion, and WWN/EVOLVE. She has also had another stint in Japan which saw her compete for Marvelous. Markova has balanced her wrestling with her interest in being a fitness model. With her decade-plus of experience under her belt, Natalia Markova has the chance to showcase her best on AEW Dark Elevation when she takes on Leyla Hirsch. With her recent WWE tryout and now this AEW debut opportunities are coming Markova’s way, it’s up to her to take them.
