Hana Kimura Memorial Show Airing Live on FITE TV

Hana Kimura Memorial Show

On May 23, the Hana Kimura Memorial Show “MATANE” will air live on FITE TV, as first reported by Fightful. The show was created by Kimura’s mother, Kyoko Kimura, to honor her late daughter one year after her passing and give a show that friends and fans around the world will remember. The show is available to purchase right now for $15. It will air in the United States on May 22 at 10:30 p.m. EST, beginning at 11:30 a.m. in Japan. Ring of Honor‘s Ian Riccaboni and The World Famous CB (fka Cheeseburger) will be supplying the English commentary for the show.

The show, titled “See You Again,” will feature names from all around Japanese wrestling including ASUKA / VENY, Mio Momono, Kaori Yoneyama, Mika Iwata, and so many more. It will also see the return out of retirement of Joshi legend Kagetsu, who was close friends with Kimura and part of the faction Oedo Tai together during their time in Stardom. Kagetsu retired at the end of 2019 but has made clear that she will make this one-off return for her friend. The event will be taking place in the legendary Korakuen Hall.

While there are no matches officially announced, it will certainly be a night that remembers everything Kimura brought to the world in her life. It should be emotional and special all in one as the world will be watching to honor the late, great Hana Kimura.
