Big news out of Mexico as CMLL terminates their long-standing partnership with Ring Of Honor (ROH). The two companies have been partnered since 2016 in a partnership that also involved New Japan Pro Wrestling with all three promotions regularly exchanging talent.
CMLL Terminates ROH Partnership
📢 📄 COMUNICADO OFICIAL
ROH has increasingly worked with AAA, CMLL’s major rivals, including sharing the use of talents like RUSH with AAA following CMLL’s falling out with RUSH in 2019. It remains to be seen what this split has to do with the new group Federacion Wrestling who are also using a number of ROH talents on their show. ROH working with two rival groups certainly would not have gone down well with CMLL and may have led to this termination.
The wrestling world continues to be interesting and all roads are leading to Friday April 30 when Federacion Wrestling holds a press conference. It remains to be seen whether this move will affect CMLL’s relationship with NJPW.
