QPW’s SuperSlam III Set For 2022 in Middle East, With AEW, ROH, NJPW and WWE Stars

Qatar Pro Wrestling Announces SuperSlam III

Qatar Pro Wrestling (QPW), the premier wrestling promotion in the Middle East, has been revealing talents for their upcoming QPW SuperSlam III for February of 2022, and like past SuperSlams, it features a huge array of talents from promotions around the world, as QPW SuperSlam III is set to feature major stars from AEW, Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), and other promotions, as well as multiple WWE Hall of Famers and Legends. Formed in 2013 by Ali Marafi, QPW has welcomed such stars as Sting, Bobby Lashley, Rey Mysterio Jr, Viscera, Brian Cage, John Morrison, Cody Rhodes, and many more over the course of their eight-year run, with their SuperSlam marquee event a truly Forbidden Door event. The third SuperSlam, which will take place on February 26, 2022, will also air on FITE.tv, and features a stunning roster of international talents.

The latest announcement was the first reunion of former WWE stable The Nation of Domination – featuring Ron Simmons, Mark Henry, The Godfather (Kama Mustafa in his NOD run), and D’Lo Brown – in 22 years, as revealed in a press release revealed on PWInsider:

QPW confirms that The Nation of Domination will be reunited for the first time in 22 years and will make their first appearance on Qatar. WWE Hall of Famers Mark Henry, Ron Simmons and The Godfather, along with former WWE Intercontinental Champion, D’Lo Brown, will do their first appearance together in over 22 years. This will be for QPW’s SuperSlam 3 on Doha, Qatar.

The event will be on February 26, 2022, at the Lausail Sports Arena in Doha, Qatar with a capacity for over 20,000 people. The Nation of Domination will be the special guests for that night. WWE Hall of Famers Bret “The Hitman” Hart, Sting, Eric Bischoff and Booker T are also confirmed for the event.

In addition, Ali Al-Marafi confirmed that they will have an event at the FIFA World Cup in 2022 in Doha, Qatar. This will be held during December 2022. This will be the first time in the history of the FIFA World Cup that we will witness a pro wrestling event in the same night of a football game. This is the company you need to keep an eye on. The current reigning QPW Championship is held by Alofa, a member of the famous Anoa’i family (and better known in North America as LA Smooth), with the tandem of former WWE Superstars Carlito & Chris Masters as the QPW Tag Team Champions, and ROH star Caprice Coleman as the QPW King of Ladders Champion.
