#AndNEW: Josh Alexander Wins X-Division Championship at Rebellion

Josh Alexander IMPACT Rebellion

To kick off IMPACT Wrestling‘s Rebellion event, Josh Alexander defeated Ace Austin and TJP to become the new X-Division Champion. The match was at top pace from the start, never slowing down and never allowing any of the competitors to slow down. This is Alexander’s first singles championship since joining IMPACT in 2018.

Josh Alexander winning the championship ended the second reign of Austin. The match came to a close when Madman Fulton got involved, essentially taking out TJP to leave it down to Alexander and Austin. “The Walking Weapon” planted Austin with a Tiger Piledriver to capture the win.

Alexander has had great success in his IMPACT career, as he is one-half of the longest reigning tag team champions in IMPACT history as The North with Ethan Page. Once Page left, it allowed Alexander to officially enter singles competition. The X-Division Championship has been on his mind since then and Sunday night was his moment to finally shine. Many believe Alexander to be a future IMPACT World Champion, so this seems to be the perfect first step to that moment.
