Generation Championship Wrestling is looking to prove that they run this town at WrestleMania Week 2021 which takes place on their home turf in Flordia. Their first event of the week is Best In Class which features some of the top up and coming names in the U.S. indie scene squaring off with the Man Of The Hour Lio Rush in the main event of the show. Let’s take a look at the card for GCW Best In Class.

T-Gainz vs Leila Grey
Janai Kai vs Killa Kate
This is sure to be a very interesting clash between two wrestlers who blur the lines between wrestling and their combat sports backgrounds. Killa Kate is in town thanks to DFW, her training school, running an event in Florida which has brought her and Kai together making this match possible. Killa Kate, who has an MMA influence, has yet to break out of the VIP/DFW loop in Texas although she does have a match in RISE Wrestling under her belt. She takes on the black belt Janai Kai who we have seen in Paradigm Pro Wrestling competing under UWFI rules recently. Kai is someone that GenCW has recently began to book as she seems to be picking up steam in the Florida indie scene thanks to her black belt in Taekwondo making her a unique performer that stands out from the crowd.
#1 Contenders Match – Culture Inc (Malik Bosede & Eli Knight) vs The Mane Event (Ringleader Midas & Blazin Lion)
Culture Inc puts it all on the line against the Mane Event here as they put their number one contendership for the vacant GCW Tag Team Championships on the line in this match. Both teams are exciting prospects that are quickly making names for themselves on the U.S. indie scene. Culture Inc. have been teaming for three years in Florida competing for promotions like REAL Pro Wrestling, World Xtreme Wrestling (WXW), American Combat Wrestling, and they recently debuted for Generation Championship Wrestling in a losing effort to the Metro Brothers. Their opponents, The Mane Event, have also been a team since 2018 although they have found more success than their opponents with their recent breakout performances in Camp Leapfrog and recent performances for one of our favorite companies, Pizza Party Wrestling. These two teams will do everything they can to get the win and put themselves in title contention and despite Lio Rush being on this same card, this may just steal the show.

The Man Of The Hour LIO RUSH makes his way to Best In Class to take on KC Navarro. Lio Rush is a competitor who has made it to the big time he has competed for the WWE, he has won gold in Major League Wrestling (MLW), he has competed for, and won gold in AAA Lucha Libre, and he regularly competed under the NJPW banner on NJPW STRONG. He is everything that KC Navarro wants to be, unfortunately for Navarro he cannot capitalize on the opportunities afforded to him. He has competed for IMPACT Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling, and yet he has failed to win the big matches in both companies. Navarro will not want to let this opportunity slip through his fingers as he knows that a win over Lio Rush could change his career for the better.
GCW Best In Class is streaming LIVE on the Title Match Network at 10 am EDT on April 9th. For any fans in Florida tickets for this show are available over at Eventbrite
