AEW wrestler Chris Jericho has officially been announced as the next guest on Stone Cold Steve Austin‘s Broken Skull Sessions. The special event will air on April 11 on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else. The shocking announcement was revealed on Friday, as a special “countdown,” mirroring Jericho’s WWE entrance, was revealed with Austin and Jericho staring down the camera.

Chris Jericho has not appeared on WWE television since the 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia. Since then, he has appeared for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and of course has been signed to All Elite Wrestling. He was the first-ever AEW world champion by defeating Hangman Page at All Out in 2019. He has been the leader of The Inner Circle since the first episode of Dynamite and has recently returned to television for a feud with The Pinnacle.
Jericho’s history in WWE is a historic one, which made his move to AEW that much more shocking in 2019. “The Painmaker” was a six-time world champion as a member of WWE, including becoming the first-ever WWE undisputed world heavyweight champion by defeating Austin and The Rock on the same night at Vengeance in 2001. Jericho also is the all-time leader in Intercontinental Championship reigns with nine.
Considering the history that these two men have with each other and the AEW factor, this will be a must-see interview for all fans of professional wrestling.
