Preview: WWE SmackDown Card (3/26/21) – Fastlane Fallout

WWE SmackDown Card: Roman Reigns & Daniel Bryan Contract Signing

Friday Night SmackDown is set to feature all the fallout from WWE Fastlane which seemed to change the course of at least one feud on the Road to WrestleMania. With WrestleMania 37 fast-approaching, expect there to be a lot of movement on the show to get some matches made official sooner rather than later. Let’s take a look at the WWE SmackDown card for this week.

Nothing is announced for SmackDown as of this writing.  Let’s take a speculative look at what could be on tap for SmackDown tonight.

Update: The KO Show with guest Sami Zayn has been added to SmackDown.

Fastlane Fallout

The feud between Roman Reigns and Edge took a turn at Fastlane as Edge cost Daniel Bryan the Universal Championship, handing the win on a platter to Reigns in the process. This marks a major shift in the feud as Edge has gone from the person many were rooting for to public enemy number one. This may also see Daniel Bryan added to the WrestleMania match between the two. Whatever happens, the follow-up should take place this week on SmackDown.

Apollo Crews and Big E seem set to continue their feud over the Intercontinental Championship. Big E picked up a strange win over Crews at Fastlane which led to Crews assaulting Big E after the match.  The two men seem on a collision course for WrestleMania.

At Fastlane, Seth Rollins defeated Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura’s friend Cesaro likely won’t take too kindly to seeing his adversary defeat his teammate. Not to mention, WWE has seemingly been building to this moment for Cesaro, who would be looking at his first ‘Mania singles match should the match against Rollins be made official.

Tensions between Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks blew over at Fastlane following their defeat to the WWE Tag Team Champions. Banks slapped Belair which left Belair none too happy. Belair is sure to have words for Banks this week on SmackDown.

Tag Team Turmoil

The tag team division on SmackDown is currently heating up. The Mysterio family, Chad Gable & Otis, the Street Profits, and the Dirty Dawgs all seem set for a collision course. The SmackDown tag team titles could be set for a multi-person tag team championship match at WrestleMania based on the current storylines.
