IMPACT Knockouts Title Match Set for New Texas Pro Tampa Event

Purrazzo vs Rok-C

New Texas Pro Wrestling only recently crowned their inaugural Women’s Champion in Raychell Rose at Astro World at the end of February, but on April 9, 2021, as part of the WrestleMania Week festivities, they’ll have another huge women’s match at their Tampa event, Texas Till I DieIt was announced on Wednesday that IMPACT Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo will be defending her IMPACT championship at Texas Till I Die against one of Texas’ rising indie stars, Rok-C.

Deonna Purrazzo joined IMPACT Wrestling in 2020 after being released by WWE. She is currently 124-days into her second IMPACT Knockouts title reign having successfully defended her title against Rosemary, Taya Valkyrie, and ODB. Rok-C is one of the fastest rising stars in the rich Texas independent scene, where she’s a former Reality of Wrestling (ROW) Diamonds Division Champion, with a reign of 315-days. This will be the first IMPACT Knockouts title defense at an independent promotion since Jordynne Grace defended against Jessicka Havok at Sacrifice in February 2020, which was an IMPACT co-production with Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). It will be the first IMPACT Knockouts title defense held at a completely independent show since Rosemary defended against now All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Shanna at a Kamikaze Pro show in Birmingham, England in February 2017 (Rosemary had another one at British Empire Wrestling (BEW) in late 2016). This will also be the first US-based indie to house a Knockouts title match since Mickie James defended her title at a series of shows for Big Time Wrestling in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Maryland (against Matt Hardy‘s wife, then wrestling as Reby Sky) in 2013.
