Kagetsu To Make One-Off Return to Wrestling

Kagetsu (now Yuu Ishino)

In some huge news for Joshi fans, Kagetsu will make a one-time return to pro wrestling to take part in Hana Kimura’s memorial event titled See You Again.  The event is set to take place on May 23rd, 2021 at Korakuen Hall on the one-year anniversary of Kimura’s passing.  Kagetsu is one of the three people in charge of the event alongside Kyoko Kimura and Veny.

Kagetsu and Hana Kimura teamed together for quite some time as members of Oedo Tai.  They had a run together as Goddess Of Stardom tag team champions that lasted over a year.  One of the defining moment of Kimura’s career was when she turned on Kagetsu and the two subsequently feuded.  One of Kagetsu’s final matches even saw the two team together again for one last time.  Hana’s career was so interlinked with Kagetsu that its fantastic to see Kagetsu come back to wrestling for one-time only to help celebrate the life and career of Hana Kimura.

See You Again will be a three-match show that will also host a memorial service for Hana Kimura.  COVID-19 ruined any chances of fans getting to celebrate Hana in 2020, so getting to celebrate her in 2021 with some of her closest friends in wrestling is a moment many, including this writer, are looking forward to.
