Preview: AEW Dynamite – “Face Of The Revolution” Qualifier (2/24/21)

AEW Dynamite Card

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means, another episode of AEW Dynamite. AEW is less than 2 weeks away from the highly anticipated AEW Revolution on March 7th. Things are about to go absolutely nuclear as things are reaching it’s fever pitch one week at a time. We have a former AEW champion in action. An MMA star just chomping at the bit to fight. Two tag team matches that are sure to blow fans away. A young up and comer against a pretty ready Cowboy. And last but not least a contest of two contrasting styles for an opportunity to earn a shot at championship gold. Get your popcorn and stick the remote someplace safe because you won’t be needing it for the next two hours. Dynamite is here and you better be ready. Let’s run down the AEW Dynamite card!

Full AEW Dynamite Card:

“Face of the Revolution” Ladder Match Qualifier: Rey Fenix Vs. Lance Archer (w/ Jake “The Snake” Roberts)

Jon Moxley Vs. “The Hollywood Hunk” Ryan Nemeth

Hangman Page Vs. Isaiah Kassidy (w/ Matt Hardy)

Ricky Starks & Brian Cage (w/ Taz & Hook) Vs. Varsity Blonds (Brian Pillman Jr. & Griff Garrison)

Jake Hager Vs. Brandon Cutler

The Death Rider’s tune-up

Jon Moxley will be in for a hell of a couple of weeks. KENTA will be challenging him for the IWGP United States Championship at the end of February and he has barely any room to breathe after that. Not even two weeks after that match he challenges AEW World Champion Kenny Omega for the title in an “Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch” at AEW Revolution.  Mox is one tough customer and his inner competitor relishes the fact that he will have two incredibly difficult matches on his hands against two of the best this world has ever seen.

“The Hollywood Hunk” Ryan Nemeth has no idea the kind of pain he is in for. Moxley will give it his all against anybody and everybody; Nemeth will not be an exception. Ryan should be ready because if he’s not it will be a rude awakening for him come Wednesday night. Jon Moxley is not known for holding anything back.

Team Taz in Action

The pairing of Ricky Starks and Brian Cage of Team Taz will be in competition against the Varsity Blonds on Dynamite this week. And if we know anything about the Machine and the Absolute one its that they’re merciless and they’re out for only one thing and that’s destruction. As evidenced last week by the attack of Team Taz on the legendary Sting. Brian Cage almost powerbombed the life out of The Icon leaving the Stinger to look up at the lights to rethink his choices. The pairing of Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. are no pushovers but they will be presented with their toughest challenge to date in the form of Starks and Cage.

AEW Revolution is fast approaching there will be nowhere to run and nowhere to hide for both teams. No rules, no holds barred, no mercy. Darby Allin and Sting must be at their breaking point already because they have been battered and bruised by Taz’s group for weeks on end now. The “Street Fight” stipulation is just the right setting to settle this hostility once and for all. But for this week, we’ve got tag team action and it’s sure to be a good one!

“Face of the Revolution” Fight

Three men have already qualified for the “Face of the Revolution” Ladder Match at AEW Revolution. These names are the returning Penta El Zero M, Scorpio Sky, and “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes. The winner of the ladder match will earn himself a shot at the AEW TNT Title in the near future. This week in a qualifying match, we have two men who have recently teamed up in “The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer and Rey Fenix. These two have been in sync for the past couple of weeks and now they find themselves on opposite ends of the ring. Fenix and Archer will do what it takes to get what they deserve and they will fight each other to the death if need be.

Will the aerial artist Rey Fenix stop the rampaging Murderhawk or will Lance Archer ground the luchador and secure his spot in that number one contender’s ladder match?
