At a Shinkiba event earlier today Actwres Girl’Z crowned their first ever set of tag team champions. The team of SPiCEAP (Tae Honma & Maika Ozaki) defeated Kakeru Sekiguchi and Miku Aono in the finals of a tournament to crown the inaugural champions.

SPiCEAP defeated Diana tag team champions Luminous (Haruka Umesaki & Miyuki Takase) in a huge first-round clash that all but crowned tournament winners, they next defeated the duo of Momo Tani and Momo Kogho before defeating Hikari Shimizu and SAKI in the semi-final. Their opponents also had a tough route to the final as they had to defeat the team of Ami Miura and veteran noki-A in the semi-final in what could be considered an upset win.
With Miyuki Takase dominating the main event scene in Actwres Girl’Z the introduction of tag team titles gives veteran stars like Tae Honma something to do. Both Honma and Ozaki are strong workers who will capably hold things down as the champions of the division which will help make the titles prestigious as quickly as possible.
