Preview: WWE – 205 Live (02/05/20)

205 Live

205 Live has been crushing it in recent weeks. Playing host to both the Men and Women’s “Dusty Rhodes Tag-Team Classic” First-Round contests. And if last week’s show is to go by, fans should expect another spectacular contest between the brand’s array of talented and young high-flyers. No matches have been announced as of yet but nonetheless here’s a speculative preview of what’s to come.

What To Expect On 205 Live

Ariya Daivari was victorious in last week’s breath-taking Triple-Threat Match against August Grey and Jake Atlas. That win puts him even closer to a shot at the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. Can the “Persian Prince” keep his momentum going and defeat another combatant?

– 205 Live made history in the last two weeks by having a couple of First-round matches of the inaugural “Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag-Team Classic” contested in their backyard. Those matches also saw the Women of the WWE compete in the Purple brand for the first time ever. As we saw the likes of Cora Jade, Gigi Dolin, Candice LeRae, and Indi Hartwell battle it out. Is this the first step in having more Women compete on the brand?

– In the recent episode of NXT, Santos Escobar dominated Curt “The Lone Star” Stallion to once again retain the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. This leaves the door wide open for another challenger to step through. Maybe young upstarts like Ashante “Thee” Adonis” or Adrian Alanis would pick rack up enough wins to cash in on an opportunity of a lifetime. Or maybe a veteran like Tony Nese feels it’s time for “The Premier Athlete” to challenge and reclaim the gold once and for all

-The team of Matt Martel and Chase Parker of the team “Ever-Rise” debuted their show “#EverRiseLive” almost two weeks ago. The duo has been getting into all sorts of hijinks with the likes of The Bollywood Boyz. Martel and Parker even scored an exclusive on Elias’s new single. Its possible Ever-Rise brings the fans a scoop on what’s to come on their beloved 205 Live in the following weeks.
