Ringsiders Wrestling is a YouTube channel focusing on interviews with talent from the pro wrestling industry, including promotions such as; NXT, AEW, ROH, IMPACT, and more. This time, Callum and Jamie are joined by indie wrestling sensation and one half of ‘Bird & The Bee’, Solo Darling!
Solo is known as ‘The Limb Reaper’ for a reason. She has a fondness for targeting her opponent’s limbs and making them tap out. Over her career, she has wrestled for top independent promotions such as Chikara Pro, Synergy Wrestling, SHIMMER, and IMPACT.
Solo speaks about the normalization of intergender wrestling on the indies and how we are starting to see it as less of a ‘special attraction’. Solo spent a lot of time in Chikara Pro mixing it up with both men and women, even capturing the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas Championship with Willow Nightingale. She speaks about how much intergender wrestling helped develop her in-ring skills and made her into the performer she is today.
There’s also an amusing story about how Solo dealt with almost throwing up during a match at Synergy Wrestling and how she managed to not only carry on but finish the match.
A lot of fans have expressed their interest in seeing Solo Darling get signed for a major promotion recently, especially with the emergence of AEW and more specifically, AEW Dark. Solo talks about what her plans are for when the world opens up and whether or not she has her eyes on a certain major company.
