The Kurt Johansson Show is an interview series that sees host Kurt Johansson talk to professional wrestlers from all over the world including France, Denmark, China, Singapore, the UK, the US, and many more. In this edition, Johansson is joined by WWE bound, Adam Maxted.
Maxted talks about being offered a WWE contract for NXT UK and the journey he has had to get this. He mentions a previous tryout with the WWE, being advised to get more work, then interest being shown which he had to decline due to his NGW contract obligations.
With Maxted now having the contract and set to arrive in WWE and NXT UK in the coming months, they talk about how he will fit in and offer something different, goals of NXT UK Takeovers and WrestleMania moments, and desire to work with Randy Orton.
Johansson and Maxted talk a lot about the British and Irish Wrestling scene, working for NGW under a guaranteed contract, experience of working TV with World of Sport, and all his ladder matches with Nathan Cruz on the WOS tour.
Adam Maxted highlights the growth of Irish Wrestling and him being the Gender Neutral Champion for Over The Top Wrestling and matches he’s had there with the likes of Drew McIntyre, PAC, and Mark Haskins.
They discuss internet trolls and toxic wrestling fans, trying to move out of the image of being a reality TV star and so much more.
