Sasha Banks Matches

Sasha Banks has finally established herself as one of the MVPs of WWE after her stellar feud with Bayley in 2020.  The two women carried the company for large parts of the year and got the acclaim they deserve.  To those in the know Sasha Banks has always been one of the top workers in the women’s division.  That is why we are here to put together a list of the definitive Sasha Banks matches that any fan should watch from her NXT days to the present.

Sasha Banks vs Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch vs Bayley – NXT Takeover: Rival

The match that kickstarted it all way back in 2015.  The four horsewomen collided after feuding for much of 2014.  In just 11 action-packed minutes all four women brought the fight to each other while playing into the history between each participant.  Far from the best match, each woman would have this is a defining match in each woman’s career.

Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch – NXT Takeover: Unstoppable

Considered by many as the match that proved Lynch belonged this match saw the former teammates collide.  Banks defended her newly own NXT Women’s Championship and had all the cockiness in the world.  Becky Lynch was given the chance to showcase her amazing babyface fire that she would become known for.  Banks’ performance in this one was great as her personality shone throughout the match as she played up her cockiness to get the crowd rooting for Lynch.

Sasha Banks vs Bayley – NXT Takeover: Brooklyn

For many fans, this is THE match that made them sit up and take notice of not only women’s wrestling but the two women involved.  Once again Sasha Banks played the cocky champion role to perfection against the beloved underdog Bayley.  They not only told a great story but they delivered an entertaining match full of great spots that people didn’t expect to see from a women’s match.  A neccessary addition to any list of Sasha Banks matches

Sasha Banks vs Bayley – NXT Takeover: Respect

Following up their classic encounter in Brooklyn was never going to be easy but Bayley and banks went at it once again in an attempt to create magic.  This time they were tasked with a thirty-minute ironman match.  Similar to their Brooklyn match they played off of Banks’ heelishness very well as the crowd was once again all in on Bayley getting the win.

Sasha Banks vs Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch – WrestleMania 32

WrestleMania 32 was not the amazing show many expected it to be, despite that these three women went out there in a bid to deliver the match of the night, and that is exactly what they did.  This was the first time the main roster audience got to see these women let loose and they delivered a triple threat match worthy of crowning the first Women’s Champion.

Sasha Banks vs Charlotte Flair Falls Count Anywhere – Monday Night RAW

Tasked with going on last, Banks and Flair went to war in a falls count anywhere match.   The feud between the two had been brewing for months and they let out all of that aggression here in a violent, visceral match.  This was the first time Banks proved that she can work with plunder better than almost anyone else, something she’d prove again and again.

Sasha Banks vs Ronda Rousey – Royal Rumble 2019

This match is something of a hidden gem for both women but it was a very well worked match that saw Banks take advantage of any weakness in Rousey’s game to try and survive.  Banks once again displayed her storytelling abilities throughout this match before inevitably falling to the superior Rousey after her limb work didn’t pay off.

Sasha Banks & Bayley vs Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair – Monday Night RAW

Another hidden gem in the annals of all four women.  This tag team match featured the Four Horsewomen colliding, and things were very different from the last time thye shared a ring.  They built to a very strong hot tag which kicked the match into life as the four left it all in the ring in search of victory

Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch – Hell In A Cell 2019

In our opinion this is one of the best Hell In A Cell matches ever, and is one of the best Sasha Banks matches you could see.  They used the Hell In A Cell sturcture and the weapong available to them to its fullest and pulled out some very innovative spots.  Both women put their bodies on the line here and delivered an interesting and unique cell match.

Sasha Banks vs Asuka – SummerSlam 2020

Banks and Asuka spent much of 2020 having great matches with one another as part of the Kabuki Warriors vs Bayley & Banks feud.  Arguably their best match was as SummerSlam 2020 which had Asuka fighting to regain her RAW Women’s Championship.  This was the most intense meeting between the two with Asuka looking for revenge while Banks despereately fought her off to try and keep the title.

Sasha Banks vs Bayley – Hell In A Cell 2020

After having one of the best cell matches in history in 2019 the bar was high for Banks’ return to the cell.  This match had the added bonus of being a grudge match between Banks and Bayley to cap off their year long storyline.  Much like the Lynch match this was an innovative match that used the weapons and cell structure to its fullest.  The aggression showed by both women only added to proceedings as each new spot was an attempt to do serious harm to their hated enemy.
