Pro Wrestling WAVE ran a show earlier today that streamed live on Confetti. The four match card featured a WAVE Tag Team Championship defense in the main event as BOSS To Mammy (Mio Momono & Yumi Ohka) defended against the newer team of Rin Kadokura and Itsuki Aoki. In a slightly shocking result Kadokura & Aoki came away with the win ending BOSS To Mammy’s reign at just 120 days

Kadokura and Aoki were put together as a team during the Dual Shock WAVE tournament in late 2020. Kadokura is no stranger to tag team competition as she is in a very successful tag team with Takumi Iroha known as NEW-Tra, the two held the WAVE tag team titles previously in 2017-2018. With Iroha injured Kadokura is freed up to do her own thing and now has some gold to show for it with Aoki.
Aoki is a regular in places like WAVE and SEAdLINNNG, where she is a member of MAX VOLTAGE but this is her first championship win in a major Joshi company. With Aoki & Kadokura at the top of the mountain, the WAVE tag title picture has freshened up as the two haven’t teamed together long and have mostly first-time matches awaiting them.
