On Wednesday night, a new champion was crowned in Major League Wrestling (MLW) as Lio Rush defeated Myron Reed to become the new MLW World Middleweight Champion. The match went down at the special event, Kings Of Colosseum. Rush won the title when he hit the Final Hour splash to get the three count on Reed. What is even more impressive is that the match was Rush’s first in MLW. This is his first championship since leaving WWE in early 2020.

The “Man of the Hour” let the world know towards the end of 2020 that he was just getting started in his revamped career and it was clear when he won this match. Rush’s confidence is higher than ever, as “The Challenge” star is only rising up the ranks in all of professional wrestling.

Reed, on the other hand, saw his reign as the champion end at a record long 425 days. While he may be on the losing side right now, it won’t be too long until he finds himself chasing more gold considering his impressive pedigree.
Rush will hope to show the world that this is only the beginning for the “25-year-old piece of gold.” The Lio Rush era of MLW has officially begun.
