Stardom has gotten the D. After nearly six years, SEAdLINNNG wrestlers Yoshiko and Nanae Takahashi have returned to Stardom on the Year-End Climax show. In typical Year-End Climax fashion, the whole roster gathered inside the ring to close out the year as the two former World of Stardom Champions closed in on the ring before entering it for the first time since the controversial exodus back in 2015 following the infamous Ghastly Match.

When in the ring, the duo stood face to face with some of Stardom’s biggest stars and seemingly set up matches for the future that many deemed impossible just weeks ago. Momo Watanabe stood face to face with Nanae Takahashi, while Saya Iida and Starlight Kid clarified their ambition to battle the SEAd duo. Giulia also broadly threw her hat in the ring, but nothing could top the tensions between Mayu Iwatani and Yoshiko, who have been destined to battle for years now, and will likely do so in their mutual tenth year of professional wrestling.
Throughout 2020, Yoshiko has been on a monstrous run as one of the best and most popular wrestlers in the world, currently having her hands on both the Beyond The Sea Championship and the Beyond The Sea Tag Team Titles, the latter of which she holds alongside the WWE-bound Sareee. Nanae Takahashi, on the other hand, just recently returned from an injury that took her out for nearly the entirety of 2020.
This is not the first time Stardom has done inter-promotional storylines this year, notably working with Marvelous, Diana, and being apart of Akira Hokuto’s Assemble project that launched in October. This is, however, the biggest inter-promotional story to happen in Stardom yet, and could prove to be one of the biggest Joshi wrestling storylines in years.
While the future of this situation is yet to be written, it’s hard to imagine the two SEAdLINNNG members won’t be participating in Stardom’s upcoming Budokan show this March.
