IMPACT Wrestling’s Turning Point was a very newsworthy show with two new champions crowned, the bracket for the upcoming Knockouts tournament revealed, and the debut of Joe Doering who sided with Eric Young.

As can be seen from the tweet above Doering lais waste to The Deaners while Eric Young cheered him on from the sidelines. This is a rather surprising debut as the former All Japan Pro Wrestling competition has been relatively quiet on the wrestling front since last appearing for AJPW in December.
Doering was a big deal in AJPW. Not only was he a four-time tag champion, winning the titles with Seiya Sanada and Keiji Mutoh to name just two partners, he was also a two-time Triple Crown Champion in the company. Doering, despite being a big brawler, has a very inspiring story as he beat cancer and returned to wrestling before winning his second Triple Crown title.
Doering will be a really strong addition to the IMPACT roster as he not only has a look that was made for US wrestling he is also a top tier worker and a 16-year veteran who is a fresh face to most American fans. He has immediately slotted into the main act in the company alongside Eric Young so it’s time for Doering to sink or swim.
