#AndNew: The Good Brothers Win IMPACT World Tag Team Titles

Good Brothers IMPACT tag Team Champions

The Good Brothers started 2020 with less momentum than they would have hoped. The former “best tag team in the world” were featured in the Bone Yard Match between The Undertaker and AJ Styles at this years Wrestlemania, helping their OC teammate against the Deadman. However, they would find themselves on the list of releases from WWE this past May, opening up a wide range of options for the futures of the stars. Since signing with IMPACT, they have hosted two satirical pay-per-view events and been featured heavily in the IMPACT World Tag Team title picture each week.

The feud between the Good Brothers and former champions the North was born from a fatal four way match for the titles at Bound for Glory last month, a match won by Ethan Page and Josh Alexander. The aggressive and seemingly obsessive demeanor of the North forced the “the Big LG” Luke Gallows and “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson to become the most serious and determined they have been in a long time. Despite the relentless offense of Page at the end of the match, Anderson managed to hit a Gun Stun, which was then followed up by the Good Brothers tag team move the Magic Killer. Gallows would pin Ethan Page, leading the Good Brothers to win the IMPACT world tag team championships for the first time in their career.

Gallows and Anderson are no strangers to tag team gold, having won championships together all over the world. They are former three-time IWGP World Tag Team Champions, having also won the New Japan world tag league in 2013. They are also former two time RAW Tag team champions in WWE and were the winners of the first (and, to date, only) WWE Best Tag Team in the World gauntlet in Saudi Arabia in 2019.

There is no doubt that the North will be relentless in their hunt to get their titles back. However, for now, it can be certain that the Good Brothers are celebrating with a couple of Talk N’ Shop brewskies.
