World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana’s title scene has been dominated in recent months to the feud between Ayako Sato and ASUKA. Their first match finished in a draw which lead to ASUKA challenging Sato for the title. ASUKA went on to win the championship from Sato on August 30th.
On today’s Diana event ASUKA attempted to make defence number one of the championship against Ayako Sato but she fell short and Sato regained her championship on her first attempt. This looks like the end of the feud as Sato seemingly offered ASUKA a spot in her faction CRYSIS.
With Diana beginning to air more and more shows it was a good choice for the company to run this mini-feud between ASUKA and Sato. Sato is Diana champion for a reason and she has earned many new fans thanks to the good matches she’s been having with ASUKA who always brings eyes to any promotion she visits. Now that they may be on the same side there may not be any stopping Sato.
