IMPACT Wrestling have today confirmed the news of three additional languages that Bound For Glory will be broadcast on, as German, French, and Spanish fans will be able to watch the pay-per-view in their native language.
Héctor ‘Moody Jack’ Meléndez and Konnan will don the headsets for Spanish listeners, while Marcus Holzer, co-host of the German pro wrestling podcast Ringside, and Christian Bruns, editor-in-chief of Germany’s most popular pro wrestling magazine Power-Wrestling, will provide the German commentary. Finally, Marc Blondin and former WWE Tag Team Champion, Sylvain Grenier will lend their voices for those listening in French. It’s also been confirmed that Don Callis will return to the announce booth for the first time since Slammiversary to join Josh Mathews on the English commentary feed.
Of course, Spanish commentary was available for Slammiversary on July 18th, which was provided by Televisa Deportes broadcasters Jorge Milhe and Javier Sahagun. That event marked the first time an IMPACT Wrestling event had been broadcast in Spanish for the first time in years.
IMPACT executive vice president Scott D’Amore had the following to say on the matter:
“Following the success of our Spanish language coverage of Slammiversary, we wanted to go even further and make sure that more wrestling fans across the world could enjoy our biggest night of the year, Bound For Glory, in the language of their choice. We’ve lined up incredible teams with diverse experience in commentating professional wrestling and we could not be more excited to provide in-depth coverage of Bound For Glory in Spanish, French and German as well as English.”
Bound For Glory does down on Saturday, October 24th, and will be available around the world via FITE TV. The main event for the night will see ‘The World Class Maniac’ Eric Young defending his World Championship against arch-rival, Rich Swann, with three other title matches rounding out the announced card at the time of writing.
