Absolute Intense Wrestling runs as part of The Collective and they are bringing their own brand of wrestling to the weekend as they present Thunder In Paradise which features a match involving Mordecai, a no rope barbed wire match, and Alex Shelley taking on two of the top up and comers on the indies all in one show. Let’s preview the mayhem.
Dr. Daniel C. Rockingham vs Zach Thomas vs Derek Dillinger vs Pretty Boy Smooth
A student of Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae Dr. Dan is going to need all of their teachings and all of the life lessons and positivity he can get if he wants to emerge from this loaded four-way with the win. Zach Thomas is trained by Rickey Shane Page so you know exactly what he is going to bring to the table in this one. Dillinger is director and he’s made it clear that his opponents are simply old movies that nobody likes, he’s also beaten them all in the past so he is confident he’ll come away with the win. That leaves us with Pretty Boy Smooth, a former basketball player also trained by Gargano and LeRae he is a physically imposing individual at 6 ft 9 inches. Smooth is also a former AIW Absolute Champion.
Mr Brickster vs Mance Warner
Mr. Brickster takes on Ol Mancer at Thunder In Paradise. Brickster most regularly has spent time with Southern Underground Pro and competed in the HOSS tournament at New South Pro Wrestling. Brickster has a tough opponent here though as Warner has proven to be one of the toughest S.O.B’s in wrestling.
Bitcoin Boiz (Mikey Montgomery & Eric Taylor) vs Allie Kat & Levi Everett
Like most matches on Thunder In Paradise, some members of this match have shared the ring a number of times in the past. Kat has wrestled opposite the Bitcoin Boiz a number of times including just last month when her and Everett were on the winning team in an 8-person tag match against the Bitcoin Boiz team. Since then the Boiz have won the Horror Slam Tag Team titles and that momentum boost may give them a new edge to win against Kat and Everett.
Mordecai vs DANHAUSEN
This promises to be a very evil clash with absolutely no swearing. Danhausen has become a big name on the indies in recent times and has spread his evil everywhere he’s gone. He takes on the man of judgement Mordecai, Mordecai will certainly be intrigued bu Danhausen’s evil and should be here to smite him.
Dominic Garrini vs Erick Stevens
This car balances the weirdness and local AIW talents with eye catching matches like this one. Stevens and Garrini are professional wrestlers who will go in there and beat each other up to deliver the best match possible.
Alex Shelley vs Tre Lamar vs Lee Moriarty
Only in AIW could you get an incredible match like this on the same card as Mordecai vs Danhausen. Moriarty first began to get buzz thanks to a series of matches in AIW with Shelley and has since become one of the most buzzed about talents on the indies. He did this by stealing the show at GCW alongside Tre Lamar who came out of nowhere to become a staple of the top indies after the match with Moriarty. The two will share the ring with the veteran Alex Shelley who has not lost a step in wrestling and looks as good in 2020 as he ever has.
AIW Tag Team Championships – 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match: To Infinity & Beyond (Cheech & Colin Delaney) vs The Philly Marino Experience (Marino Tenaglia & Philly Collins)
To say these two teams know one another is an understatement. The teams have met almost a dozen times in the past with their most recent match taking place just last month when TIAB won the AIW Tag Team titles from the PM Experience. These two teams take their rivalry to the big stage at The Collective in a 2 out of 3 falls match.
Karate Man vs “Filthy” Tom Lawlor
MMA fighter Tom Lawlor takes on a big challenger in The Karate Man. The Karate Man is obviously a well trained martial artists who poses big problems to all who face him in AIW. Lawlor will need to be at his best to defeat this fighting master.
Absolute Title Match – No Rope Barbed Wire: Matthew Justice W/Fonzi (C) vs Joshua Bishop W/ Wes Barkley
In what we presume is the main event AIW gets extreme as Matthew Justice and Joshua Bishop clash in a No Rope Barbed Wire match. Justice representing the Second Gear Crew has clashed with Bishop and the Rip City Shooter in AIW in the past. Bishop must step into Justice’s world if he wants to have any chance of dethroning the AIW double champion and take one of the titles to his group away from Justice and the Second Gear Crew.
