Things are never quiet in the world of Joshi. Over the past month, we’ve seen talent departures, debuts, and the first ASSEMBLE show. While Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling has mostly been in the news lately for losing talent it is now PURE-J’s turn as it was announced that the team of Aimanji (Manami Katsu & Mari Manji) will be departing the promotion on October 18th.

PURE-J has a fairly small roster as is so losing two performers is a big hit to them. It’s especially a blow to their tag team division as Aimanji provided them with depth and were one of their best teams. Manami Katsu has 8 years of experience under her belt and previously held gold in JWP so she will be a great addition to any promotions roster. Manji only has 2 tears of experience but is great at putting on hard-hitting matches and would work really well in a number of promotions.
While the immediate thought is we will see the two in Stardom’s increasingly bloated roster we could see the two got to TJPW, Ice Ribbon, or just remain freelance and compete in tag team divisions all throughout the Joshi scene. Whatever they do they will succeed, but this is still a blow to PURE-J.
