#AndNEW: Best Friends Win Beyond The Sea Tag Team Championships

Best Friends

At today’s SEAdLINNNG event we saw the finale of the series between Best Friends and the team of Yoshiko and Hiroyo Matsumoto.  The two teams have now met three times this year.  The first two encounters went to time limit draws, the first 20 minutes and the second 30 minutes, but now on the third time of asking we have a winner.  The Best Friends team of Arisa Nakajima and Tsukasa Fujimoto emerged victorious and have finally captured the SEAdLINNNG Beyond The Sea Tag Team Championships.

Yoshiko and Matsumoto’s reign is ended at 463 days, which was by far the longest reign in company history.  The two managed five successful defences in that time before falling to Nakajima and Fujimoto.  The Best Friends become the sixth different team to hold the Beyond The Sea Tag Team Championships, the third different set of tag titles the team have held.

A title switch was imminent as Yoshiko was a double champion in SEAdLINNNG meaning that having two title defences on one show was very unlikely.  This also gives Nakajima something to do as she is one of the top names in SEAdLINNNG and deserves to stay in the spotlight as she has had a wrestler of the year level output in 2020.
