In what we had initially hoped was a storyline injury, WWE NXT star, Tegan Nox has been ruled out of action with an ACL tear injury. What makes this news additionally heartbreaking is that Tegan has struggled with serious knee injuries throughout her career. ACL injuries have been a recurrence dating back to her soccer youth days.

The Girl With the Shiniest Wizard (sometimes known as “Lady Kane”) has had terrible luck since joining the WWE. Despite proving to be one of the brightest young talents around today, she simply cannot catch a break. Tegan’s WWE debut was originally to take place during the 2017 inaugural Mae Young Classic. However, you may remember that she was ruled out due to a torn ACL in her right leg. Then in the 2018 Mae Young Classic – what was supposed to be a triumphant return – she suffered a torn MCL, ACL, lateral collateral ligament, meniscus and patella dislocation against Rhea Ripley. Despite suffering two potentially career ending injuries in just two years, Tegan would make her triumphant return to NXT UK a year later, where she would reunite with (now-enemy) Dakota Kai.

Now just two years later, Tegan is once more out with an ACL injury. However, as Lady Kane has proven time and time again, she has a mentality like no other. Despite being just 25 years of age, she has the head of a grizzled veteran and won’t be defeated by an injury. Whether it’s six months from now; one year from now or even more, Tegan Nox will be back and she will continue to prove that she has a large part to play in the future of pro-wrestling. NXT chief, Triple H, has already confirmed that Tegan has undergone surgery to repair her knee. Triple H has always seen something in the Welsh star and he knows she’ll be back with more determination than ever before. We wish Tegan all the best on what will be a successful road to recovery.
