The New Japan Cup USA is over with KENTA picking up the victory and a future #1 Contendership for the IWGP US Heavyweight Championship. On the night before the major title match Evil vs. Tetsuya Naito, New Japan Of America presents the fourth edition of NJPW Strong in The USA.
Danny Limelight vs. Jordan Clearwater
Jordan Clearwater made his debut in New Japan on the most recent edition of NJPW Strong, he was in a tag match with Rocky Romero and got the victory. One of his opponents in that match was Danny Limelight. This is Jordan’s first singles match within New Japan but Danny Limelight has more experience within these NJPW USA tours. There has also been interest in possible management for Danny Limelight, as Rocky Romero has recently shown interest in him. This should be an entertaining bout to start off the show.
TJP, Clark Conners, Karl Fredericks and ACH vs. Misterioso, Blake Christian, Barrett Brown and Adrian Quest
ACH recently made his return to New Japan in the past edition of New Japan Strong. Blake Christian as well also made his debut in the recent episode of New Japan Strong. Karl Fredericks and Clark Conners are the definition of the main young lions within New Japan’s LA Dogo, which makes them a good team. But also hanging around with two veterans of Wrestling is major. In a recent edition of New Japan Strong, there was a trios match involving many of the competitors that were in this match so expect them to build on previously established grudges.
Main Event: Chase Owens vs. PJ Black
It’s the main event of the evening, featuring the recent debutant PJ Black or formerly known as Justin Gabriel facing off against Chase Owens. Chase Owens was last seen in New Japan losing twice in a row, in the big return tag match for Jay White and even in the New Japan Cup USA Tournament. PJ Black on the other hand has a win under his name. Recently winning the previously mentioned trios match on Week 2.
PJ Black running on this high could impress more people within the company, into having more bigger matches for the Darewolf. With the recent return of Jay White, Bullet Club is now dirtier than ever. Which could impact the main event scene of these STRONG episodes. There might even be interference or dirty tactics from Bullet Club.
