Most notably, Kato has been seen previously as Babatunde who competed at the Greatest Royal Rumble where he stood toe to toe with the “Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman. Standing at 6-foot-9 and 350 pounds Babatunde made an instant impression but would be sent back to NXT for more seasoning.
Kato played professional football as an offensive lineman and played for 10 years even getting signed by the Minnesota Vikings but was cut prior to the regular season starting. He would then make the switch to professional wrestling as part of the April 2016 PC class which also included many notable names like Bianca Belair, Nikki Cross, Lacey Evans, and Otis.
As Babatunde, he never got a notable run on NXT but instead went through a number of roles on house shows such as a brief run accompanying Lio Rush as a bodyguard. He would also make an appearance for EVOLVE against Adrian Alanis.
Despite never making an impact in NXT the newly christened Dabba-Kato is ready to make an impact as part of Raw Underground which seems to be a perfect place to showcase this monster.
