Stardom returns to Korakuen Hall for the second time in July with a High Speed Championship defense and the crowning of the new Wonder Of Stardom Champion and Goddesses Of Stardom Champions. Stardom Cinderella Summer In Tokyo promises to be another good show so let’s get into this preview.
Hina vs Saki Kashima
Likely a tune-up win for Kashima to get some momentum under her belt as there’s no chance of Hina winning
Tokyo Cyber Squad (Rina & Death Yama-San) vs Oedo Tai (Natsuko Tora & Natsu Sumire)
Another match that will likely see Oedo Tai walk out with the win as Rina is the best candidate to take a pinfall here. Following their two defeats at Stardom Explode In Summer it’s a good decision to give Oedo Tai some momentum here and a one-sided win would help them out as neither Death or Rina would be hurt by such a loss.
Donna Del Mondo (Himeka & Syuri) vs STARS (Saya Iida & Mayu Iwatani)
Based on recent results it would appear that Himeka and Syuri are the main tag team of Donna Del Mondo and are likely being built up to contest for the Goddesses Of Stardom championships in the future. With that in mind them getting the win here seems the most obvious move with Saya Iida there to take the fall. It’ll be good to see some Iida vs Himeka again too as they worked well together in Himeka’s Stardom debut.
Maika vs Momo Watanabe
Some singles action here as Donna Del Mondo’s Maika takes on Queen’s Quest’s Momo Watanabe. Maika is the designated pin taker of DDM thanks to her being the most inexperienced member so she will likely lose to the faction leader Watanabe here. Expect a close contest as the Future Of Stardom will at least be competitive in this one.
High Speed Championship: Riho (C) vs AZM vs Starlight Kid
The high speed championship has not had the best time since Riho won it last year. Riho has only made one defence of the championship in her 340+ day reign. Stardom did seem to be building a challenger for her with the High Speed GP but unfortunately due to COVID-19 that never finished. This match is very unpredictable as all three women could feasibly win. Riho retaining is likely, but AZM or SLK pinning the other and kickstarting the title’s fortunes is also a possibility.
Goddesses Of Stardom Championship: Tokyo Cyber Squad (Jungle Kyona & Konami) vs Queen’s Quest (Utami Hayashishita & Saya Kamitani)
Due to travel restrictions the Oedo Tai duo of Bea Priestley and Jamie Hayter were unable to defend the titles which were then vacated. To crown new champions the former champs KyoNami take on the last number one contenders. The story being told pre-covid was Hayashishita being unable to defeat Hayter and Priestley, failing to do so alongside Watanabe, so expect QQ to pick up the win here to allow that story to continue once Priestley and Hayter can come back.
Wonder Of Stardom Championship: Giulia vs Tam Nakano
The story here is simple. Tam Nakano’s former tag partner, rival and frenemy Arisa Hoshiki was forced to retire due to injuries. Hoshiki retired as Wonder Of Stardom Champion, Nakano had promised that it would be her to take that title from Hoshiki. Nakano is now desperate to win the championship not just for her but to keep her promise too.

Standing in Nakano’s way is the unstoppable outsider Giulia. Giulia debuted for Stardom in December having jumped from Ice Ribbon and quickly took the company by storm, even being chosen to wrestle at the Tokyo Dome and then winning the Cinderella Tournament. Nakano doesn’t like that Giulia has just come to Stardom and taken what she wants, further driving her to want to beat Giulia. At Cinderella Summer In Tokyo these two women will clash to become the Wonder Of Stardom Champion, and to add to the already high stakes, these two women can not stand one another so not only will this be a dramatic and emotional match but it promises to be violent too.
