Heath Miller (formerly known as Heath Slater) is preparing for his first run outside of the WWE umbrella in 14 years. At midnight on Saturday, his non-compete clause had officially expired and it was time for him to figure out what is next in his career. He posted the following video on his Instagram to make the world know that he is ready to “reignite the fire” and remember who he was.

Here is what Miller wrote about the next chapter in his career:
When I was young, I dreamt of having a place just for me inside the squared circle. With the help of my Mom and Grandpa, I made that dream my reality. At 23 years old, my priority was me and only me. I lived the life that the old timers told me about and life on the road was everything I thought it would be at first. As the years went on my career evolved and so did I. I became a man, a husband and a father. Year after year, loss after loss my time in the ring became less and less fulfilling and my time at home became more and more precious but there was never a healthy balance between the two.
Leaving WWE may have not been on my terms, but moving forward the choices I make regarding my career and my life will be ONLY on my terms. Over the last 14 years, I lost the man I thought I was… but Thank God I’m finding him again. I’m ready to reignite my fire. I’m ready to be the wrestler I was meant to be, while being the father and the husband that my family deserves. Now it’s my turn and I’m going to rise. So y’all better watch the hell out.
As you saw in the video, Miller arrived in his hotel room and somewhat reminisced of what he had lost in his career. Staring at the “I Got Kids” wrestling tights he had worn in his WWE career. Then as he was sleeping in bed, you could see his dreams (or nightmares) of him losing to legend after legend during his WWE career with his kids also popping in. It was almost him trying to be happy and then realizing his greatest failures in his career. Afterwards, the video skips to Miller working harder than ever in a gym to get in shape before the phone starts ringing. “Good morning, Heath. This is your wake up call,” is said on the phone, signaling the start of something new and how his release was a chance to change everything.
While there is no true word as to where Miller plans to go, he seems more than determined to make this new run count and remember his dreams that he once had. There is, of course, the possibility of Miller showing up on IMPACT Wrestling’s Slammiversary (Airing on Fite TV) show on Saturday night that promises to include a number of debuts and surprises.
Following the announcement by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson that they would be joining IMPACT and the latest teaser from Miller, it’s clear that the former WWE talents are ready for the start of their next journey.
