After the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bayley & Sasha Banks defended their titles against Kabuki Warriors‘ Asuka & Kairi Sane on Monday night, Bayley took to Social Media to declare who they have their sights set on to once again prove their dominance in as tag team champions – Banks and Bayley want WWE Legends Trish Stratus and Lita and they want it at SummerSlam.

So far in their second run as WWE Tag Team Champions, Bayley & Banks have defended against The Kabuki Warriors, NXT’s Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart, The Iiconics, and Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross, but Bayley and Sasha are determined to prove they are more than current day champions, but generational superstars as well. And to enforce that, they want to face off against two women who defined the Attitude Era for women’s wrestlers.
Trish Stratus seemingly retired after her match against Charlotte Flair at last year’s SummerSlam in her hometown of Toronto, Ontario, while Lita hasn’t appeared in a ring since Monday Night Raw in October of 2018, where she and Trish teamed up – alongside Bayley & Banks, as well as Natalya – in a 10-woman tag match that saw them defeat Mickie James, Alicia Fox and The Riott Squad‘s Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan. Lita and Trish last tagged together in tag team action the previous night that October, at WWE Evolution, where they defeated Mickie James & Alicia Fox.
