Following a hard-fought match against Southern indie star Brett Ison at ICW No Holds Barred‘s Deathmatch Drive-In 2 in New Jersey on Saturday, Eddie Kingston took a live mic and issued a heartfelt ultimatum of challenges to stars around the world. Giving Eddie Kingston a live microphone is always entertaining, as the straight-talking trash talker is one of the most real shooters on the mic. He took the time to issue challenges (that seemed more like threats) to three men in particular, New Japan star Zack Sabre Jr., AEW TNT Champion Cody Rhodes, and reigning NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis.
Zack Sabre Jr.
I can’t stress this enough: this is a small taste of what was said https://t.co/1S18AeXom8 pic.twitter.com/EhVwFrNRdJ

Before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Eddie Kingston was slated to face the former 4x RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion and former Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) and EVOLVE World Champion in England for Revolution Pro (RevPro). Now that the event has been postponed, Kingston wanted to remind ZSJ that the match was still something he very much wanted.
“Zack Sabre Jr., you little f***ing b*tch. I don’t give a f*** if you’re in New Japan, being protected, I’m gonna get your little prick ass in the ring and I’m going to f*** you up.”
Cody Rhodes
Eddie Kingston has been dishing out the best promos in wrestling for 10+ years. This one should, 100%, get him in that @AEWrestling ring on a Wednesday night. #AEWDynamite

Ever since Cody won the inaugural TNT Championship in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) back at AEW Double or Nothing this past May, he’s put the title up every week in an Open Challenge. So far his Open Challenges have seen three people answer the call, in Jungle Boy, Private Party‘s Marq Quen, and the newest AEW signee, Ricky Starks.
“You talk about f***ing grinding, you talk about all this shit, whether it’s a work or not, you b*tch, you haven’t done nothing, you haven’t done NOTHING. Your blonde hair is fake, your teeth are fake, you went to acting school, go back to Arrow, I went to a fighting school. And you talk about Open Challenge? My man, all the people in your Open Challenge are f***ing children. I’m a grown man. I dare you to put me in there with you. And believe me when I tell you this, your homeboys, that you run the company with, they like me more than you.”
Nick Aldis
Eddie Kingston actually shares a locker room with the final call out, as both appear for the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). But while Nick Aldis parades around with the NWA “ten pounds of gold”, Kingston is hunting tag team gold alongside Homicide in Outlaws Inc. on NWA Powerrr. But it appears Eddie has changed his mind on what NWA gold he really wants.
“You are in control of the most prestigious championship in all of pro wrestling history, the NWA World’s Heavyweight Championship…so guess what Magnus, Nick Aldis, whatever the f*** you want to call yourself, stop hiding behind Billy Corgan and fight me for that championship. It can be here at ICW, it could be…whoa, whoa, whoa, wait is that f***ing horses over there? Over there with the f***ing horses! I want a title shot. And I want to take the NWA World’s Championship to All Japan Pro Wrestling and defend it where the sport of professional wrestling lives.”

The State of Television Wrestling
“When I turn on the TV every week, all I see is shit. I’m a f***ing G and an Outlaw, and I hang out with G’s and outlaws, this is real. THIS IS REAL. Nothing else is real. You’re all f***ing actors, me and my crew will f*** you up for real. So step in the f***ing ring, and guess what, in your carny liar talk, ‘Let’s draw money, you c*nts!'”

It resonated with a similar speech Kingston gave in England earlier this year working for PROGRESS, where he lamented the current wrestling landscape. “I am sick and tired of making stars. You know LAX [Santana & Ortiz]? Yeah, those motherf***ers owe me 10%. Ha-ha-ha, laugh it up! Laugh it up, you jerk offs! Cause I’m standing at home, piss broke, while they’re making millions of dollars off some mark.” He soon turned his attention then to NXT saying “Understand something, I’m better than Adam Cole, I made him. I’m better than Matt Riddle, I made him. I’m better than that whole entire roster. And Lord knows, I’m way better than anything NXT UK has. And don’t get me started on AEW, I’d f***king blow that locker room out every day I step in the ring.”
The Response
While the comments are still fresh from Saturday night’s event with ICW NHB, one of the three men called out has actually responded. On Sunday night, NWA World Champion Nick Aldis responded to Kingston that he was up to the “challenge, so let’s do business.”

Eddie Kingston has been a trailblazing force in the US indies since his debut in 2002, with the Yonkers, New York native holding such titles as the Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) World Heavyweight Championship, CHIKARA Grand Championship (for 924-days!), IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Championship, and a 2x AAW Heavyweight Champion, amongst many more. He’s appeared for nearly every company in the United States and brought a world of pain and dialogue that few ever recover from.
We’ve seen one challenge accepted. Will we hear from Zack Sabre Jr. in Japan or Cody from Atlanta? Time will tell. But don’t expect Eddie Kingston to stay quiet about it any longer.
