Adam Cole vs Keith Lee! Winner takes all!
The main event scene in NXT over the past year has mostly consisted of Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, and Tommaso Ciampa. Adam Cole began his historic reign as NXT Champion at Takeover 25 by defeating Johnny Gargano. Cole even defended the NXT Championship on Raw and Smackdown against Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan respectively. Adam passed Finn Balor as the longest-reigning NXT Champion last fall. Cole also defended the NXT Championship at Survivor Series against Pete Dunne. Tommaso Ciampa got his rematch for the NXT Championship at Takeover Portland.
Keith Lee won the NXT North American Championship on NXT from Roderick Strong, a few days before the 2020 Royal Rumble. Keith was one of the breakout stars in NXT of 2019. Lee had an outstanding performance during Survivor Series weekend and during the 2020 Men’s Royal Rumble match. Lee defended the NXT North American Championship against Cameron Grimes, Dominik Dijakovic, Damian Priest, and most recently against Johnny Gargano at NXT Takeover: In Your House. Keith Lee has been in the sights of Undisputed Era for a few months now and things will finally come to a head-on July 8th at The Great American Bash.
This match is gonna change the landscape of NXT on Wednesday nights. Both Adam Cole and Keith Lee are looking to etch their name in NXT history as the winner walks out as both the NXT and NXT North American Champion. It all goes down on July 8th at The Great American Bash.
It’s rare to get a clash like this with two big stars riding momentum clashing in a match with high stakes. No matter the outcome the landscape of NXT will change after this match.
