Kayla Braxton, Adam Pearce Confirm They Have Tested Positive For COVID-19

Kayla Braxton

The news keeps breaking following the report by Pro Wrestling Sheet that multiple WWE wrestlers and personnel have tested positive for COVID-19. Wednesday night, Renee Young was the first to reveal she tested positive for the virus. On Thursday morning, it was revealed that Adam Pearce, backstage agent for WWE, and WWE’s The Bump host Kayla Braxton have both come down with COVID-19. Braxton reveals this is actually her second time with the virus.

While more and more names could come out, it is concerning that Braxton was able to test positive more than once. Many believed that it was not possible, which is something she also believed.

Considering the amount of performers and backstage personnel at each taping, this seems to only be the beginning. Both Braxton and Pearce have been part of the SmackDown tapings in recent weeks, making it seem as though this will be hitting that roster more than Raw or NXT. Time will certainly tell as more names reveal their diagnosis.

WWE’s Executive Vice President of Global Head Sales and Partnerships John Brody released a statement today saying the following as transcribed by Fightful:

”The health and safety of our superstars is first and foremost paramount. It comes down to leadership in many ways.

“Our leader [Vince McMahon] believes we have a social responsibility to put fans first and to help them get a break from what we’re in the midst of.”

Yet again, it will go down as another case of the show must go on. The only thing that may stop that notion is the worst possible result.

We wish both Kayla Braxton and Adam Pearce a speedy recovery.
