Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW), arguably the premier indie promotion on Canada’s West Coast, found itself caught up in the #SpeakingOut movement when allegations of misconduct surrounding a member of management, co-owner Jeff Duncan. While ECCW announced the removal of a management member on Wednesday, the company did not release Duncan’s name. Following the news, the reigning ECCW Canadian Champion, “Golden Boy” Travis Williams announced his resignation from the promotion and relinquished his title.
Due to the allegations against a former Owner of ECCW I will be seperating myself from ECCW and have relinquished the title. My heart goes out to the victims that have had to endure this unacceptable treatment.

Travis Williams, who was trained at the ECCW Training School by Artemis Spencer, Nicole Matthews, and Tony Baroni, has been with the company since his debut in 2017. Williams wasn’t the only ECCW wrestler to depart the company following the news broke, with fellow stars “Ravenous” Randy Myers, Elliot Tyler, Fergie, Eli Surge, Liiza Hall, and others announcing their departure from the Canadian indie.
This feels a lot like when the Church just transferred pedofile Priests to a different congregation.

One of the best lessons I have learned is that you must learn not only from those that came before you but those that came after.
I respect all the young wrestlers taking a stand against abuse and misuse of power.
That said I officially quit @ECCW I am very sorry for my silence— Randy Myers (@Ravenousrandy) June 24, 2020

I couldn’t state this any better myself, I as well will not be returning to ECCW in the future. I cannot I’m good conscious work for management who let this behaviour stand with not only one but multiple people. https://t.co/ubchRqcE4i

as of today i will no longer be associated with ECCW. I am very proud of all the people who have come forward with their stories and people like @BiBoyParm @REALEthanHD @Stephierocks and @OrderofSantiago who have used their platform for something so meaningful.

I will no longer be a part of ECCW as of today. I am sorry for the inconvenience and silence but I will not stand with this.
If you were a victim, please reach out. My DM’s are open for you.

I'm stepping away from ECCW, the terrible allegations and the way this was all handled were too much for me not to. I hope through all this darkness that the healing can begin for all the people that suffered.
