On Tuesday night, it appeared that Ace Austin had lost his previous back-up in the form of Reno Scum when the tag-team told the Rascalz they didn’t attack Trey because they no longer worked for Austin due to money owed. With a dangerous street fight ahead of him later in the evening, it appeared that Ace Austin was no vulnerable with no back-up going into Slammiversary where he’s slated to face off against IMPACT World Champion Tessa Blanchard as well as Michael Elgin, Eddie Edwards, and Trey Miguel. But at the conclusion of his street fight with one of his Slammiversary opponents Eddie Edwards, Austin revealed he had a new enforcer watching his back in former oVe big man, Madman Fulton.

Austin secured the win again over Edwards and stood tall with his new hitman, Madman Fulton. It was just over a year ago that Fulton arrived in IMPACT Wrestling as the newest member of oVe, becoming the Frankenstein monster for Sami Callihan and the Crist Brothers. But oVe fell into chaos this year, with Callihan leaving the group at IMPACT Rebellion, and Fulton turning on the Crist Brothers on May 19 following Dave Crist’s loss to Crazzy Steve. The final nail in oVe’s coffin came when Jake Crist also turned on his brother to join Joseph P. Ryan in Cancel Culture. Madman Fulton has once again given Ace Austin another ace up his sleeve as he prepares for the biggest opportunity of his career on July 18 at Slammiversary XVIII.
